4th International Summer School for Intra- and Perioperative Mapping and Monitoring (IONM)

The International Advanced Summer School is part of the DGKN-certified training program in intraoperative neuromonitoring and neuromapping and requires successful completion of both basic modules I and II. In addition, the program is open to anyone with relevant prior experience in the field of intraoperative neuromonitoring and mapping, even without having previously completed the basic modules. This might be especially of interest for attendees of foreign countries who are exclusively interested in the summer school as a high class training program.

Format
Two-day bilingual (German/English), practice-oriented advanced course. Presentations are held exclusively in English, hands-on parts, organized in groups, depending on nationality of attendees in English and/or German.

Topic/Program
Perioperative and intraoperative neurophysiology
The program from Sunday through Tuesday will closely follow last year’s program. Workshops on selected topics are planned for Wednesday morning.

Participation and Registration
The 4th Summer School 2027 will once again take place in Vila Velha de Ródão, Portugal. The number of participants is limited! Graduates of the basic and advanced modules will be given priority according to availability.

Please submit your binding registration by November 1, 2026. Depending on demand, we expressly reserve the right to cancel the course with a refund of already made payments of registration fees. In the event of cancellation, we will notify you in writing by the end of November 2026.

Transfer: A shuttle will be available for transportation between Lisbon Airport and the event venue. Pickup at the airport is scheduled for April 11, 2027, at approximately 4:30 p.m. The shuttle is scheduled to arrive at the airport for the return trip on April 14, 2027, at 3:00 p.m.

Certification
Certification of the event will be applied for with the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®). Certification will also be provided by the Advanced Training Academy of the German Society of Clinical Neurophysiology and Functional Brain Imaging e.V. (DGKN)

The category (e.g., EEG, EP) and number of credits will be published here in due course.
